Tougher than I thought
When I viewed this product I thought it would be something I would where when out on the town. When it arrived and I put it on, it became apparent that this was a piece that could stand up to the chores on the farm. It is way more substantial than expected. I live in northern MN and it's freaking cold right now. The other day I wore it to town, the temp was 6 degrees with a good wind. I was very comfortable and to top it off I looked good.

Sizing seems off
Nice jacket but the sizing seems off. I normally wear an extra large which I tried. It fit well in the body and sleeves but tight in the shoulders. I liked the jacket well enough to try a 2x. It fit well in the shoulders but to large in the body and long in the sleeves.

Great Mid-Weight Puff Jacket
I spend a lot of time outdoors doing everything from sporting clays shooting and salt water fly fishing to paddleboarding and gardening. This Marsh Wear Saluda Jacket is ideal for any of those activities. It is a very well designed and manufactured mid-weight jacket, ideal in a range of temperatures from 15-50 degrees. The jacket packs the perfect amount of insulation for temps down to the mid-teens while still breathing well and being comfortable for temps up to the late-50s. I used it at Orvis Sandanona two weeks ago in Millbrook, NY for sporting clays when the North East got socked with snow and single digit temps for days. The Saluda Jacket was perfect when combined with a Kuhl merino undershirt and regular long sleeve button down and I wasn't cold on the clays course (despite a snow squall) or long walks in the woods on the farm where I was staying. I didn't need anything more. The jacket is also very lightweight, durable (insofar as any piece of this type of clothing could be), and is true to fit with a slightly athletic (more narrow) build through the body of the jacket. I am 5'11", 215 pounds, muscular, have a 35" waist, broad shoulders, and wear a true size 46-47 dress jacket. Normally an XL in many clothing lines is what I need to fit my shoulders, but they just hang off me like a garbage bag, often way too big and long in the body of the jacket. But the XL in this jacket fits perfectly in the shoulders and through the body of the jacket. While it doesn't fit quite as well as Orvis jackets fit me (where I wear a Size L in everything), the fit is still good and the jacket feels great. I'm going to purchase a second one at some point. I would recommend Marsh Wear rolling out some additional colors at some point, including a classic navy blue. Keep up the good design work!
